Kinda Like This...

We started out with the idea of just replacing our ugly, mismatched cabinets and tiled counter. Then, as these things always go, one thing led to another and we started adding stuff left and right. And top, bottom, inside and out.

You hear about this all the time -- a case of the "Mightaswells."

"Y'know, if we're going to replace the cabinets, we MIGHT AS WELL get something nice. And if we're going to do the cabs nice, we might as well get the granite counter. And if we're going to do all that, we might as well add some more storage. And damn, this is a lot of money, so what's a little more, we might as well get the built-in nuclear reactor and stainless steel stripper pole."

Next thing you know, we're looking at a ten week project and a ginormous bank loan.

Of course, the nuke has been replaced by a badass Thermador range.

Anyway, here are a couple of the plan drawings of where we're gonna end up. The first one kinda matches the angle of the demo shots from the other day, just so you can get oriented.
