Santa showed up at our house today with a delivery of gift boxes of all sizes! Only, the sleigh was replaced by a big ol diesel truck. And the presents were in fact our brand new kitchen cabinets, which we placed in front of the fireplace. For a second, we were afraid they wouldn't all fit in that side of the room. But we broke out the shoehorn and vaseline and squeezed them all in fine.
As luck would have it, the very first box we opened contained a damaged cabinet. But fortunately it was the only one with any sort of flaw. It's a short crack in the front surface of a wall cabinet. Which leaves us with an interesting dilemma: do we send it back and push our schedule back two weeks or more? Or do we keep it, knowing it's a small crack in the finish, near the top of a high wall cabinet, which will be covered by a door and not seen 99.9% of the time?
Will our eager side win out over our perfectionist side? Stay tuned.

If you can get a discount on that cabinet, I'd keep it.
